This website is designed by Destination Labrador in support of the Come Home Year committee, which was established in the fall of 2007. The technology behind the site is provided by Smart Labrador based in Forteau, NL.
Year 2011 has been endorsed by the Combined Councils of Labrador as our Labrador wide Come Home Year; a year that will celebrate Labrador traditions through renewed friendships and good old-fashioned family fun.
Each region of Labrador is planning events, and we will continue to add the events to our calendar.
The region of central Labrador is the impetus for the Come Home Year 2011 celebrations. The organizing committee is comprised of various Labrador stakeholders such as the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Central Labrador Economic Development Board, Labrador North Chamber of Commerce, Destination Labrador and businesses servicing Labrador.
Other regional committees are being formed in Western Labrador, Labrador Coastal Drive region, and Northern Labrador - Nunatsiavut, to organize events in their own regions of Labrador.
